A jungle hike

Not much to say about my long silence. Christmas on a Florida beach followed by a very busy hunting lodge schedule. February has mostly been spent readjusting (with limited success) to Houston. It is a warm, gray winter there and the lack of sunshine had a profound effect on me after my days of endless sunshine in New Mexico.

Now I am visiting dear friends in Panama. Pam and Michael have retired in the mountains outside of Boquete. It is truly a corner of paradise.

Yesterday, Pam and I and another ex-pat plus his dog Gunnar hiked a jungle trail to three separate waterfalls. It was steep and wet, but worth every slippery step. So I’m trying to get my mountain legs back. I’ll let photos tell the rest.

OWWWWWW! Can’t wait to get down there ourselves! This looks like so much fun. I hope you had a good chance to relax with Mike and Pam and experience a little of their life now.
